General Santos City is known for its dry and humid weather. Some old folks even call it “dustdiangas” a moniker from the old name of the city which is Dadiangas. The place is dusty and dry and hot on ordinary days. Read More
My family and I loves pizza. We always frequent pizza places here in Gensan and Pizza Hut is one of them. So, when the Sox Bloggers were invited to taste Pizza Hut’s latest pizza, I was the very first to sign up.
Pizza Hut’s latest variety of Pizza is the Tuscani Pizza. It comes in 5 flavors:
3-Cheese Bacon and Spinach, Gourmet BBQ Chicken,Premium All Meat, Roast Beef and The Supremo.
All 5 choices were serve to us and I would say I love them all.
Here is the latest comercial with Gensan’s pride Miss Shamcey Supsup:
You can visit Pizza Hut’s website for more details about these delicious pizzas.
Thanks to Restaurant General Manager Jasper Barraca and the Sox Blogger’s amiable leader Bariles.
Here are what other Sox Bloggers have to say about Pizza Hut’s Tuscani:
Happy New Year to everyone. May we all have more blessings this year. God Bless!
Yes, those are the winning combinations for the Philippine’s biggest lotto prize in history. The lone winner if from the SBMA in Olongapo City. The take home pay is P741,176,323.20. Geez, just imagine what you could do with all that money. I have already fantasized about how to spend it. The problem is, i’m not a die hard lotto bettor. Although I placed a bet for this prize twice, I did not win it. I was not able to bet yesterday when someone else got very lucky. Oh well, as they always say, there is a time and place for everything. Maybe it’s not yet my time to win and Gensan may not yet be the place to win it. But if I do win. . . I won’t blog it here. Hahaha.
More of the details here.
Nine year ago I was in Cotabato City and was alone in my room. While I was reading a book, I got a sms from my counterpart at around eight in the evening that the World Trade Center in New York was hit by a plane. Then after maybe an hour, another sms came telling me that the other building was hit by another plane. I didn’t have a TV nor did I have a computer with me in Cotabato back then. I just relied on the news from my friends. Read More
Can anyone tell me how many songs are there that has September in either the lyrics or the title of the song? I can think of a couple of right now without even consulting Mr. Google. Here they are: September by EWF and Wake me up when September ends by Greenday. Why is September such a significant month? For people in America, I was told that it’s the end of summer and that winter is coming. Somebody correct me if this is wrong. In the Philippines, when September arrives there can only be one significant thing that comes to people’s mind: Christmas! It’s the start of the “ber” months. Today and even as early as midnight last night, my Facebook friends posted Christmas greetings on their walls. I even received a sms this morning, jokingly reminding me that as early as now Christmas gifts are already accepted. Hahaha or is it Ho Ho Ho! Well, that is the reason why we Filipinos are well known to have the longest Christmas celebration in the world. Oh well, the air does indeed feel a little bit more like Christmas. BTW, gifts are indeed accepted as early as today so just leave a comment as to where I can get it. Thanks.
Its been 123 days since my last post. That is exactly four months and 1 day. A lot of things happened during those 123 days. But all I can think of right now are things that weren’t there four months ago. Here are a few: I got a new car. It’s a Vios. I got two new phones. A Samsung Omnia Pro and a HTC Touch Viva with a Lenovo Net book. The HTC and net book are company issued and so is the car . I got a new watch, a Luminox Special Edition Blackout. Well, those are the gadgets that I got. I’m happy with them. It’s a different kind of high for me. However, my wallet says otherwise. Haha.
I’m trying to be more frugal but it’s very hard to do so specially now that Gensan is really becoming more and more a metropolis of the south. Malls are sprouting like mushrooms. I learned from Bariles (which is my primary source of “whats new” in Gensan) that SM will be groundbreaking in September. Robinson’s Place have shops that are catering to my needs. KCC is also upgraded and have opened more shops. Gaisano becomes a bargain hunter’s paradise. Plus new places to go like Ice Castle, Sun City Suites and its arcade and a lot more new spots. Gensan have surely become a great place to be.
A view from the top. That’s what I have now. Aside from being on top of a high hill here in Cebu, I’m on the 17th floor of Marco Polo hotel. So the view is really awesome.
I’m here for our regional conference. All my counterparts from Vismin are also here. The company I work with conducts this conference at least twice a year. This time its only a regional conference. It had always been a Natcon or national conference for the past few years. I like the Natcon better because I can be with my colleagues from all over the Philippines. We really actually see each other only during conferences or trainings or company incentive trips.
We just missed the Sinulog by a day. The Gensan group ( only three of us) were supposed to be here as early as yesterday but there was no flight available from Gensan to Cebu. So we traveled to Davao yesterday and boarded a PAL flight for Cebu this morning. It would have been great if we joined the Sinulog festival. It was I think 1997 or 1998 when I last joined the Sinulog. Maybe next year I can join again.
Thank God Wifi is free here at Marco Polo Hotel. Its available at the conference hall and the lobby or basically the whole first floor. I can update my Facebook there using my mobile phone. It’s just unfortunate that it can’t reach the rooms. I’m using my plug-in internet now because I don’t want to go down to the lobby or the pool area to avail of the free wifi.
Tomorrow will be a training day so I better get a good night rest and hopefully will get through the day tomorrow without getting bored or sleepy. Opps. Hahaha.
I like the song by Craig David specially when played very loud. . .but I hate the disorder. Well you just have to get used to it. Thank God for the internet.
Maybe with Insomnia, I can go on blogging again. Its been a long time. Its only January. I can do this. . .Here I go again.
Hello World! Hello Gensan!
The Christmas spirit is here. There is really a change in the weather the feeling and the general atmosphere when Christmas is near. My son keeps on asking me how many days are left before Christmas? I told him the other day that its 30 days till Christmas and he would invent or rewite the lyrics of the song the 12 days of Christmas to something like on the 30th day of Christmas my true love sent to me . . . . and so on. And then he asked me . . . Dad, why do we have Christmas? Its such a simple question from a simple mind and yet if we contemplate for a moment and ask ourselves, why indeed do we celebrate Christmas? I ask her ate, my daughter to answer his question and she replied with . . .to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Indeed she is right. Reflect further on her answer and think . . why do we really celebrate Christmas the birth of Jesus? I leave you to ponder on this. Advance Merry Christmas to everyone. Peace!
